Mr President, I Think You Are In A Trance – Soyinka Blasts Buhari

“Mr President, I think you are in a trance.” This was the reaction of Nobel laureate, Professor   Wole Soyinka when he was asked by journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, what he would tell President Muhammadu Buhari if he meets him face to face. “I will say to him, Mr President, I think you are under a trance.” “Too many things are happening now which made me say that. I think he is under a trance,” Soyinka said. He added that the sooner the President gets out of the trance, the better for the nation. When asked to explain the form of trance which he thinks the President was in, the Nobel laureate said he does not know but this is can be attributed to the ‘errors’ by the Buhari-led administration. “I don’t know. BREAKING NEWS - Osinbanjo Sacks DSS Boss, Daura

The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has directed the termination of the appointment of the Director-General, State Security Service (SSS), Lawal Musa Daura. The termination of appointment according to a statement signed on Tuesday by Senior Special Assistant to Osinbajo on Media and Publicity is with immediate effect. Daura has since been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice. Daura is however in a  closed-door meeting with  the Acting President, currently holding at the presidential villa in Abuja. The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris is also in the closed-door meeting. The termination of Daura’s appointment comes few hours after security officials  stormed the premises of the National Assembly barricading the entrance. ♂Security Officials Take Over 🇳🇬Nigeria National Assembly

Armed and masked officials of the Department of State Services have blocked access into the National Assembly complex. The security operatives arrived at the complex as early as 6.00 am. The armed men have prevented staff, legislators and journalists from entering the complex. Senators Ben Murray Bruce, Biodun Olujimi and Rafiu Ibrahim are among those blocked. Journalists were also barred from entering the complex as a result of what the DSS allegedly said is an order “from above”.

Saraki, Other Defectors Have Constitutionally Forfeited Their Seats – Ikimi

Beestone Online quoted a signed statement obtained from Ikimi wherein  sections of the 1999 Constitution which negate and render null and void the defection of Saraki and others from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) to APC were averred to. Ikimi opined that the defections were predicated on avarice and not the inability of their political parties to operate under the constitution. “My attention has been drawn to the gale of defections by some Federal and State Legislators from one political party to another. “I make bold to say that the real reasons for all these defections are unconstitutional as they are founded on avarice rather than on the inability of their political parties to operate as a party under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended),” he enthused. Ibrahim Dankwambo, Governor of Gombe State and a presidential aspirant, says he will declare war on poverty and injustices in Nigeria if elected president come 2019. Dankwambo, who is seeking to be the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Atiku Abubakar, said such fight would be the number one priority of a leader in order to ensure the happiness of citizens. Gombe State University Graduates Class Of 2018.

     The Primus Inter Pares on 27th of July 2018 conducted its dinner and award night for the outgoing students , Class of 2018. The event took place in the School Premises in Which the turnout was huge.      Following the Dinner, the FCS graduation took place on the 29th of July 2018, where parents and well wishers of the graduands appear in beautiful color to support their children. Speaking to one of the graduate, Walbe Ishaya a certified Economist " i am delighted to have attended this prestigious institution and am hoping for better days ahead"       Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Umar A adviced the graduate to be good ambassadors of the country. The school has now vacated for break hoping to resume Early and make up before the General Elections Come 2019.
