Reasons Thomas Tuchel wants to sell Kurt Zouma this summer

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has prioritised signing a centre-back this summer, with Jules Kounde Chelsea’s top target, and has decided Kurt Zouma should be moved on. Tuchel identified centre-back as a problem position for the club after arriving at Stamford Bridge and the club drew up a shortlist of players to sign. That included Ibrahima Konate – who has joined Liverpool, Niklas Sule and Jose Gimenez but Kounde is the man they are pushing to sign. The France international, 22, is viewed as a player with great potential and would join Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James and Zouma as Chelsea stars who can play in a back-three. As per  The Athletic , Zouma’s future is far from certain. While he has proven himself in the air at both ends of the pitch, there are concerns over his ability to play out from the back. Erling Haaland  says he ‘hopes’  Chelsea  are not planning a £150 million bid to sign him this summer. Chelsea have made the Borussia Dortmund striker one of their top targets for the summer window with  Thomas Tuchel  keen for the club to recruit a new forward. It’s also understood that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich  is personally driving the club’s push to bring Haaland to Stamford Bridge . However, any deal for Haaland is likely to cost Chelsea at least £150m this summer, while Dortmund are adamant that the 21-year-old will remain with them for at least another season. When asked about his with a move to Chelsea at Dortmund’s training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, Haaland told reporters: ‘I haven’t spoken with my agent in a month. You might have the answer. ‘I am a normal person. That’s a lot of money for one person.
